every game becomes Tetris/Pong/Supermario... everyone loves it plays it, gets tired of it and leaves... few days/weeks/months/years "oh my god! i love this game! i wonder if i can still play it like before" you can't "damn, i have to play better" you come back...

one person becomes addicted for life (games wise) it simply gets easier to leave for a bit...

i don't get all this angry people... She(OP) just said she was tired of the game... if you(guys that can't get tired of getting people down) think its so easier to disconnect from the online community simply do... if you think the rest of us is not that worth of your time simply leave... you don't need to bash on our heads with hammers... in 4 pages of this topic i noticed that only two full hands showed support to the OP, the rest i am surprised they showed we are indeed worth of their time as they could simply post "shut up"...

GW has so many things to do xD that sometimes i can't even decide what to do...

to the OP, like some of the guys before me, you do well taking a break... and by posting this you showed to everyone a choice you made and this is thanks to what Gayle said... in GW is possible to choose... you don't have to continue paying while not playing.... so just take a break... and return for the next two chapters(at least) of this great game...

cheers

I know I'll get tired of GW before the GW2 comes out. I mean really, there's simply not enough content to keep me occupied for another two years. But there's nothing wrong with being bored and trying something else. For me, it's only going to make me more excited for when GW2 comes out.

While I know that GW:EN isn't going to be anywhere near as good as the other campaigns have been, it is good having something for my existing characters to do, and hopefully it will keep me playing for a little while longer.

If you don't think it will, don't buy it. If you would like to see what's coming up, do. It's as simple as that. This has been, and is, a great game.

So id like you to shut up and do nice to people... tyvm

Support her for what?
This entire thread was started from the fact that she failed to understand something written in the PC gamer article and came here to post yet another [Anet broke their promise] thread.

If you want to come here and hold someones hand and "support" them for being flat wrong go for it. That still won't make her point valid.

BTW we can't just post "shut up" they have a minimum amount of characters you must use to post a reply.

You get bored of something, you do something else, you may come back later or may not. It's a natural process. Right now I'm only playing GW to run elite missions and the like and PvP with my alliance, playing DoW once in a while with a couple friends, leveling a Warlock to 70 in WoW, (Bleh, grinding) planning on starting a guild in Warhammer Online when that comes out... The list goes on. Maybe it's just the type of person I am, but I like doing different things.. and it stops me from starting to hate something just because I spend so much time doing it.

I have played for close to 25 months now, and more than 1,000 hours on my warrior alone, and close to 2000 account wise, I am currently working on my 8th and 9th maxed title on my warrior (legendary skill hunter) which I am very close to accomplishing. Simply your problem is your not getting a break from the game, I have other games such as WarCraft 3 (not a WoW fan :P), UT2K4, and a couple of others that, when I "rarely" need a break from GW, I play them along with GW or them alone for a week or so. You basically brought the prediciment on yourself.

And come on, only 11 titles lol? There's so much to do in the game besides constantly progressing through it. Go to the RA and get in a conversation with someone, help new players to the game out, create new builds and try them out. Tons of other things I could think of.

I myself am very busy trying to get "People Know Me" and possibly "I'm Very Important" before GW:EN releases, I woulden't give up on GW yet, think about it, basically your saying you want to just go ahead and throw away all those months in the game out for what, WoW, where you'll actually be paying monthly for color-pixeled stress relieving and enjoyment? I'd rather have a steak and a free mmorpg quite frankly =)

I can still have a life with GW... come back, and not have to worry about being left behind. If GW is your sole entertainment, then you need to stop playing before you comsume it all and get bored with it...

Wow, you got terrible spelling and grammar. I'm not trying to make it look bad for you, but if you are going to insult them, by telling them to shutup ect, do it with decent english, instead of trying to figure what you wrote.

I would agree with Surena about what he said. Its quite clear you didnt get any if not all of his points. And its not to do with "sharing your GW experience" the OP is clearly complaining about not enough content in the game. If someone doesn't like the content of that game, and refuses to play it, then complains about having no content. Seems like a dumb revelation to me.

And why would any of us care what she does in the game? I didn't know that by posting here, was to help the GW community at all. And I didn't know that the OP posting a topic of the game lacking content and complain about it was "helping the community" either. All that GWG offers, is that GW players come together in a forums. THATS IT, nothing more.

And how is the game designed to please you? People create a game, because they want to create a game, and how they create the game is up to the developers, not towards the public. Some, might develop a game because the game can make a lot of money, but they only do it for the money, not for the public either. Also is that Anet's fault, if someone is bored because they played for extremely long hours over a long period of time and DOESN'T do all of the content that GW offers?

Seems like you are taking it hard from criticism.

It's a game. If you didn't enjoy it, you shouldn't have spent so much time playing it. Go play WoW if that's what you want to do, you deserve it.

Pretty much my thought there - I'm not her "hubby" so I have no need to support her misreadings. Nor does Anet - they aren't going to change what they did because a few (or one) individuals have a poor ability at reading. If one *really* wants their inability to understand what another says to be a "lie" my guess is that they will have large problems in life in general. I guess they have trouble with "if..then.." types if ideas.

All of the OP's concerns were addressed in the article. The level cap increase was *not* GW1 related (plus they *strongly* supported the idea it was a number only, not a real advantage as the OP seems to want) and that the Hall of Monuments had more than simply herself viewing them. They *do* carry on to GW2 characters.

In fact, her observations are so incorrect I do not know which she is: A troll or just has that large an inability to understand the written word. Personally I hope she is just a troll, the rest is so grossly incorrect it is laughable. Though I'm sure the Anet complainers (and her "hubby") sure "support" it if she is truthful. It appears to mostly be a post that is an amalgam of all the complaints along with the idea that having 20+ characters makes it more valid (I would have found 12 more so - one of each class, one pre-sear, and one PvP).

Uh huh - if they are telling the truth then they *really* need to take a look at what they are doing.

Just do what I do, a month of GW and month of WoW and a month of CoH. That keeps every game feeling fresh.

One thing I'd like to clarify:

The "mis-statement" by Jeff Strain about "character development beyond level 20" was in PC Gamer. It is possible he was mis-quoted or his entire quote was edited. (ie, some examples of what "character development" would entail).

I blame PCGamer for the confusion, not Anet, who never promised higher levels in Guild Wars.

To avoid further confusion, there will be no new Chapters for Guild Wars.

The only projects confirmed by Anet are:

Eye of the North (GWEN); an expansion to the current Guild Wars

Guild Wars 2; a whole new game

So because of hear-say and speculation and "ehat the game might be like", your disapointed?

You said yourself, that one minute they talked about increasing level cap and then changed their mind.

The game is months (GWEN) and years (GW2) away from release and your already making a post about how YOU are "disapointed". Well im sorry, but who cares.

The game could be absolutely NOTHING like what its said to be so far. It could change.

But quite honestly, I have read the same things you have and I like the sounds of both GW:EN and GW2. So.... big woop, I dont really care if it isnt what YOU want. There are still 1000s of players who have said how great it sounds.

Dont make negative comments about something that hasnt even been released yet. No one is in any position to judge or comment on it at ALL.

You claim to have enjoyed playing the game, and yet it was work. I am curious as to how you reached that conclusion. Further, a title, an exclusive "something", is nothing? Go look up what "nothing" actually means...

They have said, repeatedly from launch, the level cap would NOT be increased. Please try to know what you are talking about BEFORE posting.

Quite frankly, I'm considering running and not looking back.
Why do people always have an urge to post crap like this on the forums, and then rarely actually leave?

EDIT - Wait, I have an idea. Maby I will post a new "Guild Wars is Doomed, I'm Quitting" thread each week, so as to better fit into the crowd. What do you think?
